June 6 witnessed two captivating encounters in the Vitality T20 Blast 2024, with matches played in the North and South Groups.
The day kicked off with Middlesex facing Glamorgan at Lord’s, London. Middlesex, batting first, put up a respectable total of 173 runs. Their innings were anchored by Stephen Eskinazi and Martin Andersson, who scored 48 and 57 runs, respectively. Despite the solid start, the rest of the batting lineup struggled to capitalize, with Ryan Higgins and Luke Hollman adding just 18 and 17 runs to the tally.
Glamorgan had a shaky start in response as Eddie Byrom was dismissed for a golden duck. However, Kiran Carlson and Sam Northeast steadied the ship with crucial knocks of 54 and 67 runs, respectively. Nottinghamshire’s chase never really took off, with Will Young scoring just 25 runs. Worcestershire’s bowlers put on a disciplined performance, restricting Nottinghamshire to 134/7 in their 20 overs and securing a 20-run victory.
