During the T20 World Cup, Bangladesh’s fast bowler and vice-captain, Taskin Ahmed, unexpectedly missed the crucial match against India in the Super Eights stage of the tournament. The BCB officials maintained that Taskin’s absence from the match against India was not directly linked to his late arrival, stating that such decisions were ultimately in the hands of head coach Chandika Hathurusingha. This stance suggests a degree of internal protocol, where performance and preparedness were crucial considerations.
