Sherfane Rutherford has been representing the Quetta Gladiators in the current season of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 9.
Sources indicated that Sherfane Rutherford’s departure to Barbados was due to pressing family matters.
“Now, if Quetta Gladiators qualify for the playoffs, his return is possible,” said the sources
Osman Khan, a player for Multan Sultans, also exited PSL 9 due to personal family matters.
Earlier, Alex Hales from Islamabad United and Kieron Pollard of Karachi Kings also departed the tournament.

In a high-stakes encounter at Rawalpindi Stadium on Saturday night, the Kings are now pursuing a 178-run target set by the Qalandars in PSL Season 9.
Abdullah Shafique led the charge with 55 runs off 39 balls, while Fakhar Zaman added 54 runs from 35 balls, placing their team in a commanding position. Mirza Baig scored four runs from 7 balls, Shai Hope made 9, Shaheen Afridi contributed one run, Sikandar Raza added 22 runs, and David Wiese chipped in with 24 runs for the Qalandars.

In the first innings of the 27th match of Pakistan Super League Season 9, Multan Sultans set Islamabad United a challenging target of 229 runs, achieved within their 20-over allocation.
Islamabad United reached their target on the final ball of the 20th over, finishing with seven wickets in hand.
Colin Munro was exceptional for Islamabad United, scoring 84 runs off 40 balls, with nine boundaries and five sixes. Captain Shadab Khan added 54 runs, Faheem Ashraf contributed 23, and Haider Ali chipped in with 19 runs. However, Salman Ali Agha could only muster two runs, and Alex Hales was dismissed without scoring.
For Multan Sultans, Abbas Afridi and Muhammad Ali each claimed two wickets, while David Willey and Chris Jordan took one wicket apiece.
Earlier, Multan Sultans set a target of 229 runs by scoring 228 runs for losing four wickets in their 20 overs. Usman Khan’s stellar innings of 100 runs off 50 balls was not enough to secure victory. Johnson Charles contributed 42 runs, Yasir Khan added 33, Captain Mohammad Rizwan scored 20, and Sohaib Maqsood made 13 runs. Chris Jordan remained unbeaten with 15 runs.
For Islamabad United, Faheem Ashraf took two wickets, while Naseem Shah and Hasan Ali each claimed one wicket, sending a player back to the pavilion.
