“The sign of a best team is that they win even without playing a perfect game. I would like to thank the owners for backing me and how they supported me throughout my journey. There was a lot of hard work and belief behind winning this trophy so this trophy means a lot to us,” Shadab said after the match.
“I was a batter at the start [of my career], wanted to utilize my abilities as a batter by batting up the order, it helps team more if I bat at fourth or fifth.
“I was struggling while bowling but I have tried to fix the technical issues and I’m hopeful there will be further improvement in my bowling. When I perform as a bowler, it benefits the team a lot.”
The thrilling match was ultimately decided on the last ball when Hunain Shah came in to bat needing just one run for victory. The young talent skillfully spotted a gap at point and played a decisive shot, sending the ball to the boundary for four runs.

Iftikhar Ahmed played a crucial role in reviving Multan’s chances with a quickfire unbeaten 32 off 20 balls, featuring three sixes and as many fours, including 31 runs in the final two overs.
Islamabad United also faced a collapse, falling from 121-4 to 129-7, but Imad Wasim remained composed and, along with the lower order, scored 19 runs off 17 balls to guide them to victory.
