The franchise owners congratulated Mr. Mohsin Naqvi on his appointment as Chairman of the PCB and commended the Pakistan Cricket Board for its successful management of the Lahore and Multan phases of HBL PSL 9.
Chairman PCB thanked the franchise owners for their unwavering support in making HBL PSL a successful brand.
Additionally, the Chairman addressed the franchise owners, stating, “Pakistan Super League has become an identity of the country over the years. I would also welcome your suggestions to further improve the quality of the league. The board is eager to entertain all recommendations by stakeholders which would help in enhancing the standard of cricket in the country.”

On Wednesday, HBL PSL franchise owners and representatives convened with PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi at a local hotel to offer their congratulations on his recent appointment.
The franchise owners commended the PCB Chairman for effectively managing the first phase of PSL matches held in Lahore and Multan.
Naqvi expressed his gratitude to the franchise owners for their ongoing support, which has been crucial in establishing PSL as a prominent brand.
PSL embodies Pakistan’s identity,” he stated, emphasizing that all suggestions for its enhancement are welcome. He added that practical proposals would be considered to advance the sport of cricket.
PCB Chief Operating Officer Salman Naseer, League Commissioner Naila Bhatti, and Pakistan Super League Director Shoaib Sheikh were also in attendance.
Ali Tareen of Multan Sultans, Atif Rana and Sameen Rana from Lahore Qalandars, Nadeem Umar of Quetta Gladiators, and Ali Naqvi, owner of Islamabad United, represented the franchises.
On Wednesday, the City Traffic Police (CTP) of Rawalpindi urged residents to take alternative routes to prevent disruptions, as Double Road has been closed for the PSL matches.
Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Rawalpindi Taimur Khan announced that a detailed traffic management plan has been developed to ensure public convenience during the PSL cricket matches.
He noted that over 365 traffic police officers and personnel were assigned special duties, including seven Deputy Superintendents of Police (DSPs), 40 inspectors, 318 traffic wardens, and several traffic assistants.
He mentioned that the CTP had implemented special measures to ensure smooth traffic flow on alternative routes during the matches.
During the movement of cricket teams, extra personnel were assigned to manage traffic and ensure smooth flow on alternate routes.
Parking facilities have been arranged at the Civil Aviation Ground at Shaheen Chowk, Shahbaz Sharif Park near Shaheen Chowk, and Graduate Degree College in Satellite Town to accommodate cricket fans. A shuttle service is also available to transport attendees from these parking areas to the stadium.
The CTO stated that, during the match, informational banners about alternative routes and parking options were prominently displayed on Rawalpindi’s main highways. These were intended to assist citizens and ensure smooth traffic flow on alternate routes, keeping the public well-informed.
He added that real-time updates on diversion points and traffic conditions were also being shared with citizens through the official social media channels of the traffic police and radio station 88.6.
Details reveal that Murree Road was entirely closed from Faizabad to Double Road during this period, with traffic from Islamabad being redirected from Faizabad onto the Expressway.
Traffic heading towards Islamabad could access the city via 6th Road or Said Pur Road, while vehicles from Ghousia Chowk were redirected to Farooq Azam Road and Kurri Road.
During the cricket match, both lanes of Stadium Road, from 9th Avenue Chowk to Double Road, will be closed to traffic.
Meanwhile, traffic from Islamabad’s 9th Avenue can access Rawalpindi via the Faizabad Expressway and IJP Road, passing through Pandora Chongi, Katarian, Carriage Factory, Pirwadhai Mor, and Chak Madad. Conversely, traffic from Rawalpindi to Islamabad’s 9th Avenue and Double Road can enter Islamabad via Murree Road.
