PCB to Highlight Breast and Childhood Cancer Awareness Days During HBL PSL 9

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) will leverage the HBL Pakistan Super League to advance its corporate social responsibility efforts by raising awareness about breast and childhood cancer.
A news release issued on Monday announced that the match between Peshawar Zalmi and Multan Sultans, set for March 5 at Pindi Cricket Stadium in Rawalpindi, will be designated as Pink Ribbon Day to promote breast cancer awareness.
It’s not just the players who will be showing their support. The commentators, too, will be donning pink ribbons, creating a unified front in the fight against cancer.
These initiatives are not just about the players and the game. They are about the audience, about spreading awareness and understanding about these critical health issues.
On March 12, Gold Ribbon Day will promote childhood cancer awareness during the match between Quetta Gladiators and Multan Sultans at the National Bank Stadium in Karachi. The venue will be adorned in gold, with players and commentators wearing gold ribbons and caps.
The PCB has also invited four cancer patients to Gold Ribbon Day in Karachi, where they will receive signed shirts from both teams.
Multan Sultans Triumph Over Karachi Kings by 20 Runs

Karachi Kings’ right-arm fast bowler Blessing Muzarabani struck early in just the second over, dismissing Reeza Hendricks (13 off eight balls, including three fours) caught by Mir Hamza at deep third. The Sultans had opted to bat first after winning the toss.
Mohammad Rizwan and Usman Khan formed a formidable second-wicket partnership, amassing an impressive 148 runs and stabilizing Multan’s position following an early wicket.
Usman, who joined Rizwan at the crease in the second over, aggressively targeted Muzarabani and Mohammad Nawaz during the powerplay, helping the team surpass the 50-run mark within six overs.
In the final five overs, Multan added 51 runs to their total, with a particularly explosive 15th over where they scored 20 runs, thanks to two sixes and a boundary. Rizwan also reached his 63rd T20 half-century during this over with two boundaries.
Blessing Muzarabani ended Rizwan’s innings on the first ball of the 18th over, dismissing him for 58 off 44 balls, which included five fours. The subsequent batsman, Iftikhar Ahmed, managed only a run-a-ball four before being caught by Muhammad Irfan Khan off Hasan Ali’s delivery in the penultimate over.
In the final over, Usman Khan celebrated his second HBL PSL century with a six, finishing with a stellar 106 not out off 59 balls, featuring ten boundaries and five sixes. He was named Player of the Match for his performance.
