Dinesh Karthik’s stop-start international cricket career commenced with his One Day International (ODI) debut in 2004. It spanned almost two decades, culminating in his final game for India during the 2022 T20 World Cup. Throughout his tenure, Karthik represented the Indian team in 26 Tests, 94 ODIs, and 60 T20Is. Although his international career had ups and downs, he played a vital role in several significant victories for the Indian team.
Karthik contributed heavily to India’s title victories in the 2007 T20 World Cup and the 2013 Champions Trophy. His talent as a batsman shone through during India’s historic Test series win in England in 2007, where he was the team’s leading run-scorer.
