February witnessed a series of high-stakes battles in the ICC World Test Championship (WTC), and among the outstanding performers vying for the ICC Men’s Player of the Month title are two premier run-scorers in the most extended format, along with a record-breaking ODI batter from Sri Lanka. ICC Male Player of the Month Candidates for February
Yashasvi Jaiswal (IND)
Yashasvi Jaiswal, the young Indian opener, earns his first nomination for the ICC Player of the Month award following an awe-inspiring performance in the Test series against England. With India trailing 1-0 at the start of February, Jaiswal’s remarkable form was pivotal in overturning the deficit, leading to a historic comeback.
The 22-year-old’s incredible feat of back-to-back double centuries in Visakhapatnam and Rajkot powered India’s resurgence. It equaled the record for most sixes in a Test inning with an astounding 12 maximums. Jaiswal continued his outstanding form as the series progressed, amassing 560 runs at an average of 112. Pathum Nissanka (SL)

Kane Williamson (NZ)

Kavisha Egodage (UAE)

Esha Oza (UAE)
Esha Oza, the skipper of the United Arab Emirates women’s cricket team, has been recognized for her stellar performances at the Women’s Premier Cup with a nomination for the ICC Player of the Month award. Leading from the front, Oza’s outstanding leadership and all-around skills played a pivotal role in securing her team’s prestigious silverware.
Oza’s notable achievements include topping the run-scoring charts with an impressive 249 runs at an average of 62.25. Annabel Sutherland (AUS)

It showcased Sutherland’s emergence as a critical player in the women’s game.
Monthly ICC Player Award Selection Process
The nominees for each category undergo a meticulous selection process based on outstanding performances throughout the calendar month. A distinguished independent ICC Voting Academy, comprising former players, broadcasters, and esteemed journalists from around the world, collaborates with fans to determine the winners. The Voting Academy’s selections hold a 90% weightage in the final decision, while fans’ votes contribute to the remaining 10%, ensuring a balanced and fair evaluation of each nominee’s achievements. Composed of prominent figures in the cricket community, the Voting Academy includes distinguished journalists, former players, broadcasters, and ICC Hall of Fame members, who collectively contribute 90% of the vote via email. Registered fans account for the remaining 10%, casting their votes through the ICC website. The winners are announced every second Monday of the month on ICC’s digital platforms, celebrating the remarkable achievements of these exceptional athletes.
*ICC Voting Academy consists of renowned individuals within the cricket fraternity, including respected journalists, former players, broadcasters, and ICC Hall of Fame members.
