In a momentous move for cricket enthusiasts in the Caribbean and Latin America, the International Cricket Council (ICC) recently announced its continued long-term partnership with ESPN. This collaboration aims to bring ICC global events to fans across 51 territories in these regions, significantly expanding the reach and visibility of international cricket.
The agreement comprises eight years of broadcast rights for all matches of 12 men’s senior events and four U19 men’s events, culminating in 2031. The highly anticipated ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024 marks the first major event under this new arrangement. Scheduled to take place in the West Indies and the USA from June 1 to 29. The partnership also includes coverage for all matches of four women’s senior events and two U19 women’s events until the end of 2027.
Cricket fans in the Caribbean can enjoy comprehensive coverage of these exciting events through ESPN Caribbean and ESPN2 Caribbean on television and the ESPN Play Caribbean digital streaming platform. Additionally, audiences in 18 Latin American countries will have access to these premier cricket events via the Star+ streaming platform. This extensive coverage solidifies ESPN’s position as a leading sports network in the region. It ensures that cricket lovers throughout these territories won’t miss a moment of the action.
