This prolonged losing streak overshadowed the pacer’s individual achievements and severely impacted the team’s overall standing. As a result of this poor run, Dhaka found themselves at the bottom of the seven-team points table, reflecting a season of disappointment and underachievement.
Shoriful was understandably disheartened by the team’s poor performance throughout the tournament. He could not prevent the team from faltering despite his notable efforts and individual success. He expressed regret over not being able to turn the tide in a few key matches, feeling that his contributions alone were insufficient to secure the crucial wins that Dhaka needed. “It’s always disappointing when you are on the losing side even if you performed well. As a cricketer, my aim is to win matches for my team and contribute. If we could have won a few more matches, it would have felt better.”
